Highlights

Want to stand out? Get highlights. It is one of our most recommended services to lighten hair strands and fix them. The classic approach uses foils to create dimensions and much lighter shades than the natural hair color. We recommend it to those with darker hair looking to brighten up their entire look. Further, you can choose different variations of standard highlights.

Lowlights

These are perfect for those who were looking for darker hair colors but ended up with lighter shades. It adds more dimension by adding darker shades as the base color. Customers complaining about weak hair opt for lowlights for a voluminous and natural look.

Balayage

Our hair color correction service in San Francisco, California, lets clients choose from various correcting techniques, and balayage is one of them. Our stylists do not use foils, instead go for freehand coloring to the hair surface that beautifully blends into your hair texture for a soft touch.
Ombre
Fashion is all about trying out new styles, and ombre is one of the most dramatic hair dye techniques when you need to change the hair color. Our clients that want a two-toned hair look often end up selecting this, where the hair stylist blends the dark roots into lighter mid-section and ends. You can choose from various colors and contrasts at Sohea.
Asian clients usually don’t like to see brassy and orange tones after bleaching their hair. However, it is really easy for Asian hair to have a brassy or orange / red, brown tone.
There is a 10 level system for hair color. 1 is very dark black, and level 10 is very pale yellow. The mid-levels 5, 6 and 7 have red and orange tone.
There are two options for fixing brassy hair color:
  1. Go Dark – If you prefer not to bleach your hair, you can cover mid-level brassy tones by dying hair a darker color.  But you will see more red, brown tones again after every shampoo.  In order to maintain the dark color, you may need to dye again every 3 to 4 months.  It typically takes 2 to 3 hours to dye dark hair color without bleach.
  2. Go Light – Alternatively, a brassy tone which is level 5-7 can be lightened to a lighter yellow base (e.g., level 8 and up) followed by color melting (hair color processing).  For lightening a brassy tone, a global bleach or teasing bleach technique is required, followed by color melting.  It will typically take 5 to 8 hours for this type of color correction hair processing.
